The use of AI highlights ethical issues to which I am sensitive. In publishing this statement, I undertake to be transparent about the content you are looking at.

I have noticed an increasing amount of AI-generated texts on the Internet (technical blogs, Linkedin articles, etc.), often accompanied by a decline in quality and relevance.


===== My content =====

I write my articles as I wrote my blog in 2009, i.e. without the help of an AI for the initial design. My research, experiences and thoughts are the fruit of my own hard work. I don't monitor subjects that I haven't mastered (at least partially), and I don't share content that I haven't validated myself.

Even if it reduces my productivity, I'd rather spend more time writing an article than delegating it to an AI. It's the only way I can continue to enjoy writing and master my subjects.

===== Limited use of AI =====

I use artificial intelligence tools in the same way as you would use a spellchecker or a language translator, only for ancillary tasks at the end of the writing process:

  * **Rephrasing sentences:** To avoid unnecessary repetition and find more appropriate words, AI can suggest alternatives that improve fluency while preserving my original message.
  * **Spelling and grammar correction:** AI can automatically detect and correct linguistic errors.
  * **Search for synonyms:** Just like I used to do with "synonym for" in Google.

AIs are first and foremost tools, they shouldn't be banned, but it's important to use them wisely and to let people express themselves without their message being distorted by the use of an LLM.
